Mediums
Fine art landscape photography can be printed using various mediums, each offering unique qualities that can enhance the visual impact of the artwork.
Acrylic Mounted Prints
Acrylic Mount Prints feature the photograph printed on high-quality paper and then mounted behind a sheet of clear acrylic. This medium adds depth and dimension to the image, intensifying color saturation and providing a modern, sleek appearance. The transparent acrylic front also offers a glossy finish and UV protection, making it an excellent choice for vibrant and high-contrast landscapes.

Metal Prints
Metal Prints, on the other hand, involve infusing the image into a specially coated aluminum sheet, resulting in a sleek and contemporary look. The process creates a brilliant, vibrant image with exceptional sharpness and depth. Metal prints are durable and lightweight, making them suitable for larger pieces, and their resistance to fading and moisture adds to their longevity, making them a popular choice for landscape photographers.

Archival Prints
Archival prints, traditionally created on fine art paper using high-quality inkjet printers, are a classic choice. These prints offer a timeless and elegant appearance that suits many styles of landscape photography. The use of archival inks and acid-free paper ensures longevity, and the tactile quality of the paper can enhance the texture and fine details in the photograph. While archival prints may lack the glossy finish of acrylic and metal, they provide a more classic and versatile option that can complement a wide range of landscapes.

Acrylic and Metal prints come mounted and ready to hang with ½” floating mount creating the effect that the piece is literally floating off the wall. If you prefer to remove the floating mount altogether please let us know. Most clients choose to do this if they prefer to use traditional framing methods instead of having the floating frame. Archival prints come mounted, but will need to be framed by the customer.
