Amethyst Dawn

I never saw so many purple sunrises as I did in Alaska. It seems like every couple of days you get these amethyst colored dawn lights in the sky and they're just phenomenal.  The thing about being a photographer in Alaska or Hawaii or New Zealand or Arizona or Utah or Iceland or any of these incredibly picturesque places, is to be a good photographer all you have to do is take a picture.  The beauty is everywhere. And it's probably the lowest hanging fruit for a good photographer to turn into a great one when you have all the subject matter in the world at your fingertips. It's actually difficult to NOT take a great photo. I'm so grateful to be able to experience sunrises like this and be able to travel to all these locations with relative frequency and share my photography with you!
