Castle by the Sea

This is located in an area of Maui that I frequent a lot.  I love how the sea cliffs form these incredible spires and tide pools.  On this particular evening, I actually came here to shoot another image.  I knew the clouds were light and where the Milky Way was going to be that evening, so I wanted to shoot this area at night with the stars lighting it up.  (Check out Heaven's Trail for that image).  As I was setting up and looking for my composition I was shooting around and really loved this layout.  I knew I wanted to do a vertical shot for the night image, but as the sun was setting the sky was lighting up really nice so I pivoted to a landscape image and shot this one here. That night I got two amazing images from the same location and I couldn't be more happy on how either of them came out.  It's no wonder I always come back to these cliffs to shoot.  Don't these rocks look like the remnants of an old castle by the sea?  Well, they do to me, anyway!
