Dancing Inferno

As the sun goes down on Halema'uma'u crater on the Big Island of Hawaii, the light from the dancing lava below begins to glow. Just after sunset the colors in the sky are magical, with reds and blues battling each other for dominance in the sky. Strangely, by this time most of the visitors have left Volcanoes National Park and miss the sight you see before you.  The smoke from the caldera rises into the sky creating red clouds that disperse to the heavens.
