There is so much to love about New Zealand. It's absolutely one of my favorite places on earth. There is hiking all over those islands and virtually nothing but the weather itself that can kill you. At least on land. When I shot this, I was off roading on some random road and just happened to come across a hike in the middle of nowhere. I hiked for awhile until I found this riverbed, then I hiked through the river for a little ways until I came to this beautiful picturesque New Zealand waterfall. With the light coming in from the branches of the thick forest canopy I decided to shoot this low to the water and get a feel for the entire scene instead of just the gorgeous waterfall itself. Using a wide angle lens and being about 12" away from the closest rock, I was constantly wiping spray from my lens, but the final result is this fantastic waterfall in a hidden location in New Zealand. I couldn't find this place again if I tried, but I think I'll try...
