Eminence

As I was hiking along the North shore of Kaua‘i, exploring all the little nooks and crannies of the island, I found a number of just amazing locations that I really wanted to capture.  When I stumbled upon this one, my jaw dropped and my eyes nearly popped out of my head.  It was one of the most idyllic scenes I had ever been witness to.

Because the island had been recently hit with some heavy showers, water was flowing down from the mountain to the sea, and from where I stood I could see the incredible double waterfall that connected the earth to the water.  I spent hours at this location, shooting it from every angle I could think of, and late into the night.

When the sun popped out from behind the clouds just for a minute, I snapped away and was blessed to have captured the scene at just the right moment!
