Gentle Seas

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Maui? It really is paradise. The scenery cannot be beat, no matter where on earth you go. Scenes like this litter the coastlines. Ok, maybe not as good as this, but there are amazing landscapes all over. For this one I had passed by it several times but never shot it. I took an iPhone picture the last time I was there to think about how I wanted to capture it. I decided on the tide and time and knew it had to be with very little wind as I wanted to do a slightly longer exposure without the leaves of the plants moving too much.  The day I shot this was perfect.  Variable winds, the tide was going out which made for really nice water movement, and I used a softer effect on the shot to give it a bit more of a dreamy feel. I mean, sunset in Maui, what's not to love, right?
