In the Pines

Man, was it dark up in Northern Idaho when I shot this.  I did so on a night with no moon just before sunrise.  I'll be honest, it gets a little creepy walking around a forest in that much darkness. I remember the lyrics for "In the Pines" the old Lead Belly song was rolling through my head as I was out there. The final product came out great though, and I was excited to have the silhouetted trees dominate the foreground amid the erupting sky and milky way above.
