Inner Chamber

Truly one of the most haunting and amazing places I've ever been was inside this colosseum in Italy. I don't know if it was all the movies or books I read about this era or location but I could almost physically see the warriors, slaves and soldiers walking these tunnels. I could see the fear in the faces of some looking up the stairs and into the arena.  Would this be their last day? If these walls could talk maybe they'd tell a different story.  Who knows? I can only imagine.  And I do. Often.
