It was far below freezing when I got to this lake just before sunrise to capture the light of the morning over the majestic Canadian Rockies. What drew me to this location was the famous bubbles that form beneath the ice here. It adds for a really cool dynamic, and even though this place is out in the middle of nowhere, it's definitely worth the trip out if you're willing to brave the -30 degree days, 25 mile per hour sustained winds and lack of accommodations anywhere nearby. All that said, I'd go back in a second!
