I remember standing about waste high in the water trying to line up this shot at the perfect moment.  I was with another photographer and he was looking at me like I was nuts. On the incoming swells, the waves were getting pretty close to my camera and the splashes were making me constantly protect the lens and dry it off.  Thankfully though, taking that risk landed me this photo.  It's from a very special place to me in Makena, Maui and a spot that you can frequently find me shooting pictures in the evenings. Oddly enough, even though I've shot this location many times, the view from here is always just a little different. The night I shot this, it was absolutely perfect!
