Winter Run

The snow must've been at least 18" as I trudged through, following the banks of this little river. When it opened up in the early morning to show this fabulous sight I knew it was time to setup the camera. The low hanging clouds were hanging around the base of this mountain in the distance while the clouds higher in the sky were moving quickly through the scene. While the mountain was covered most of the time, when it finally opened up and I got a clear view of the top I fired away.  The sun was just high enough in the sky at the time to light up the mountain in the distance but not the foreground. The crystal blue waters in the river enveloped by the deep snow made this an unforgettable scene for me.
