Artist notes:

When I went to this location to shoot the sunrise, this shot wasn’t on my radar.  But as I watched how the ocean was retracting to the sea, I saw this scene and it captivated my attention.  I spent awhile playing with different apertures and trying to get it to look just right, and finally I caught this shot.  When I came home and opened it on the computer, I was even more impressed.  In fact, I ordered a huge print of this for the wall in my wife’s office.
