Artist notes:

This is every local Hawaiian boy’s favorite shot from my collection.  Well, local surfer, that is.  The perfect empty wave pumping in the distance off this rocky point is an amazing sight of power, beauty and finesse.  The fact that no one is surfing it makes surfers salivate.  The wave in this shot is definitely amazing, but the foreground here is equally exciting.  The cascading water flowing over the dark black lava rocks make it a great all around composition and a testament to the amazing visual displays of the natural world around us.
