Artist notes:

This is essentially my back yard.  Well, technically, its more of my front yard.  The front window of my home looks out at these mountains.  While my view isn’t quite this spectacular, I do love the small piece of this view I do have.  There are several hikes up in this area and from here you can access areas so remote it hard to believe they’re still on the same island.

Like this shot for example, to me the untouched landscapes remind me of the Hawaii of lore, the Maui of yesteryear and I feel so honored to be standing where I can capture a moment before civilization on this great island.
